Mumbai, August 14: Homegrown SUV maker Mahindra & Mahindra is a few hours away from officially launching the Thar Roxx SUV in the country. The 5-door Thar SUV is undoubtedly one of the most-anticipated launches of the year. Bookings are expected to commence immediately after the launch. On several occasions, Mahindra has tested the features of the Thar Roxx on its social media channels. Additional teasers also suggest the Thar Roxx will be a feature-loaded offering from Mahindra. It could pack a 10.25-inch infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital display, automatic AC, a Harman Kardon sound system, ventilated front seats, and a panoramic sunroof. As for safety, the Thar Roxx 5-door could come equipped with 6 airbags, ESC, TPMS, hill hold and descent control, and level 2 ADAS features.

Mahindra is said to offer the Thar Roxx in 4X4 and RWD versions and could be priced between INR 13 lakh and INR 23 lakh (ex-showroom). Mahindra Thar Roxx will borrow its powertrain options from its three-door sibling that is offered with a choice of petrol and diesel engines. We expect some tuning for enhanced output. While the former is a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol mill while the latter is a 2.2-litre diesel unit. Transmission options will include either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission.
