Touted as one of the most accomplished actors of the showbiz world, the 76-year-old actor can still make the younger lot of actors run for their money. The brilliant actor, a complete family man, and an inspirational human being, Big B stands tall as a role model to many aspiring talents. Amitabh walked the path of Bollywood as a voice narrator in Mrinal Sen’s National Award-winning film Bhuvan Shome in 1969. His first acting role was as one of the seven protagonists in the film Saat Hindustani, directed by Khwaja Ahmad Abbas. Interestingly, when Sr Bachchan entered Bollywood he was termed as a "failed actor" until the age of 30. However, he then did Zanjeer in 1979 (the one where he plays "The Angry Young Man") and post that, there was no looking back!

Abhishek, who has always been the dear son of father superstar, wrote an extremely lovable yet thoughtful post on his Instagram account as Big B completes 50 successful years in Bollywood. "ICON! Even today, his passion and love for his craft and work is the same as I'm sure it was on the first day. Dearest Pa, today we celebrate you, your talent, your passion, your brilliance and your immense influence. Can't wait to see what you have in store for the next 50 years. The coolest thing he taught me today....As I went, in the morning to wish him for completing 50 years of being an actor and to tell him that I was leaving for work- I asked him where he was all ready to go to? On the work front, Amitabh gained high appreciation by critics and audience alike in Pink. It was a courtroom drama where Big B played the role of a lawyer with Taapsee Pannu as the lead. However, his last film, Thugs of Hindostan failed miserably at the box office. We are next going to be seeing him in Brahmastra starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Mouni Roy and Badla, which stars Taapsee.
