Actor Imran Khan has officially addressed the mounting speculation regarding his involvement in a biopic based on the life of BharatPe co-founder Ashneer Grover. Despite recent reports suggesting that he had undergone a look test for the project, which was also linked to his uncle, superstar Aamir Khan, the actor has clarified that no such collaboration is currently in the works. Ashneer Grover Biopic: 39-Year-Old Shraddha Kapoor to Play 61-Year-Old Aamir Khan’s Wife? Here’s What We Know.

Imran Khans Clarification on Ashneer Grover Biopic Casting Rumours

For several weeks, rumours circulated within the film industry that Aamir Khan was producing or starring in a film chronicling the rise and controversies of the former Shark Tank India judge. Reports further claimed that Imran Khan had been approached for a pivotal role or even the lead, marking a high-profile family collaboration.

However, speaking to Hindustan Times, Imran Khan flatly denied these claims, stating that the project was not on his radar at all."I have not even heard of this project. This is not true," the actor said, putting an end to the viral casting theories.

The Ashneer Grover Biopic Buzz

The project in question has been the subject of significant interest due to the polarising and high-profile nature of its subject. Ashneer Grover became a household name following his stint on Shark Tank India, where his "doglapan" catchphrase became a cultural phenomenon.

While filmmaker Rahul Mody is reportedly attached to direct a film exploring Grover's entrepreneurial journey and his publicised exit from BharatPe, no official confirmation has been made regarding Aamir Khan’s involvement. Actress Shraddha Kapoor has also been frequently linked to the project, though the production remains in the early stages of development.

Imran Khan’s Highly Anticipated Comeback

While the Ashneer Grover biopic is not part of his current slate, Imran Khan is actively preparing for his return to the screen after a decade-long hiatus. He is set to lead the Netflix original film Adhoore Hum Adhoore Tum, directed by Danish Aslam.

The film, which also stars Bhumi Pednekar, is being described as a "spiritual successor" to his 2010 hit Break Ke Baad. Currently in the final stages of post-production, Adhoore Hum Adhoore Tum is expected to premiere in late 2026. Imran Khan on Choosing Romance Over Action for His Comeback; Actor Rejects Box-Office Obsession Ahead of Netflix Film.
