Sujoy Ghosh's latest directorial venture Badla is super strong at the box office despite so many films running in the theatres simultaneously. Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu, who have teamed for the second time, have once again managed to impress the audience and critics alike. Their crime thriller is doing so well that it has already beaten the week 1 collection of their previous hit film Pink. And is now marginally behind the Rs 50 crore mark in India in terms of gross box office collection. Badla Box Office Collection Day 7: Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu Starrer Surpasses Week 1 Collection of Pink, Grosses Rs 44.84 Crore.

Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to the microblogging site Twitter a while back and revealed the updated figures saying, "#Badla is super-strong on Day 8... At par with Day 4 and better than Day 6 and 7... Biz should witness superb growth on [second] Sat and Sun... Should cross ₹ 50 cr in Weekend 2... [Week 2] Fri 3.75 cr. Total: ₹ 41.75 cr. India biz. Gross BOC: ₹ 49.26 cr."

Apart from getting cash registers ringing in India, Ghosh's film has also found a huge audience abroad. We say so because Badla raked in Rs 16.94 crore in week 1 at the overseas box office. Announcing the same, Adarsh tweeted, "#Badla has found appreciation in international markets... Packs an impressive total... Total after Week 1: $ 2.450 mn [₹ 16.94 cr]. Few territories yet to report...USA+Canada: $ 845k, UAE+GCC: $ 1.07 mn, Australia: $ 163k, UK: $ 145k, RoW: $ 227k #Overseas." Badla Box Office Collection Day 6: Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu's Crime Thriller Refuses to Slow Down, Grosses Rs 40.53 Crore.

Well, going by the current trend, it seems Big B and Pannu's film will surpass the Rs 100 crore at the worldwide box office pretty soon. Apart from these two terrific actors, Badla also features Amrita Singh, Malayalam actor Tony Luke, Manav Kaul and Tanveer Ghani in important roles.
