What a feat indeed! South superstar Mahesh Babu has set the box office register clinking like no other south superstar ever has, except Baahubali's Prabhas, maybe. Mahesh Babu's film Bharat Ane Nenu went onto do remarkable Rs 100 crore business. This giant feat has left everybody stunned and praises are flowing in, more so because this film has been released in only one language-Telugu. As opposed to the other south films that have done well have had releases in multiple languages.

The dashing superstar could not thank enough for the kind of response his endeavour has received at the box office. Babu took to Twitter to say this;  “Thank you, everyone, for all the love for #BharatAneNenu! Feeling blessed … Glad I fulfilled the promise of making all of you proud. Thank you @sivakoratala sir for Bharat Ane Nenu. The Success of the film is a victory for all of us and for good cinema above all. Congratulations to my entire team. Feeling overwhelmed seeing the love of fans from all over the world. Thank You, धन्यवाद.”

Bharat Ane Nenu is directed by Koratala Siva, who has directed back to back blockbusters in his career starting with Mirchi, Srimanthudu and Janatha Garage. After Srimanthudu, Siva is working with Mahesh Babu once again with Bharat Ane Nenu. Kiara Advani is the female lead, while R Sarathkumar, Prakash Raj, Sithara and Rao Ramesh are seen in important roles.

Film news tracker and analyzer Kaushik LM took to Twitter to explain the numbers and how the film has succeeded in raking in Rs 100  since its release. What is even more noteworthy is that the film has done remarkable business in unchartered territories such as US and Australia where generally only Bollywood or Punjabi flicks do well!

According to trade analyst Ramesh Bala, the Koratala Siva-directed film has earned 74 crores from the domestic market and Rs. 26 crores from the international circuits in two days. Film Trade expert Taran Adarsh explains the figures with great details by taking to Twitter.

In the movie, Mahesh Babu plays the role of Andhra Pradesh's chief minister, who takes charge of the state to fight for the rights of his people. According to Adarsh, Bharat Ane Nenu may become this year's second highest Indian opener in Australia after Sanjay Leela Bhansali' "Padmaavat."Telugu films are creating ripples in Australia. Australia was always dominated by well-made Hindi and Punjabi films.
