On the other hand, it is competing with Ajay Devgn starrer Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior at the ticket windows. Both the films released on the same day. However, Tanhaji managed to collect Rs 61.75 crore by now.

Speaking of Chhapaak, the film is based on the real-life incident of acid attack survivor, Laxmi Agarwal. Directed by Meghna Gulzar, it is the first film for Deepika as a producer. The film is also facing roadblocks because of the ongoing trend of #BoycottChhapaak on social media. As the netizens are busy pitting two films against each other, it has to be seen how it affects the collective business.
