Eva Grover Says Hyder Ali Khan Was Schizophrenic
Grover further revealed that a significant factor contributing to their troubled marriage was Hyder Ali Khan's undiagnosed schizophrenia. She claimed she was unaware of his mental health condition when they eloped in 2000, after knowing him for a mere 18 to 19 days.
"He had schizophrenia. At that time, I didn't really understand what schizophrenia meant," Grover stated, adding that she only began to comprehend the condition later through extensive reading. She observed that Hyder appeared "polite and well-behaved" during their brief courtship. However, the facade reportedly crumbled just three days into their marriage when he allegedly became violent, initiating years of physical abuse. Grover described constant bruises and emotional trauma, with his condition exacerbated by heavy alcohol consumption and growing frustration after leaving his cabin crew job with Qatar Airways to pursue acting.
Despite the alleged abuse, Eva Grover remained in the marriage for five years, even having a daughter, Nishtha Khan, in hopes of improving the situation.
