Parmanu- The story of Pokhran is in a legal mess, thanks to the brawl between John Abraham’s JA Entertainment and Prernaa Arora’s KriArj Entertainment. The two production houses slapped legal notices on each other regarding delays in payment. However, now the controversy has taken a sharp turn as Prernaa Arora has lodged an FIR against John and JA Entertainment, reports The Quint. The FIR was registered by Khar police station in Mumbai after KriArj Entertainment filed the criminal complaint. The complaint includes cheating, breach of trust, fraud, misappropriation of funds and copyright infringement against the actor and his banner.

According to Prernaa, the Dhoom actor duped crores of rupees invested by KriArj Entertainment towards the production of the film Parmanu. Earlier, talking to a publication, Prernaa said, “John Abraham pegged the budget of Parmanu at Rs 35 crore which was way too high for a film which had no stars except John Abraham, and even that (John’s stardom) is disputable. Anyway, of that 35 crore we’ve already paid John Rs 30 crore, Rs 3 crore will be paid on delivery. It’s just the remaining Rs 2 crore that we at KriArj have been pleading with Mr Abraham to forgo. But he is not willing to budge. Instead of understanding the economics of this project, he accuses me of not understanding the dynamics and economics of film production.”

On the other hand, John Abraham maintained that he would never cheat and rather be broke instead of doing such act. He also said that he has full support from many of them in the industry, but they will not support him publicly as their own films are on stake. Now, that the production houses have decided to make it a do or die situation, we wonder what the fate of the movie will be.
