Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani's Kabir Singh has already become an iconic film that will be remembered for years to come. The movie created a lot controversy courtesy its storyline which was touted by many as misogynistic and yet the romantic drama stormed the box office in India and has ended up becoming the highest-grossing Hindi film of the year. As if that's not enough, the remake of Arjun Reddy is also the first Bollywood movie of 2019 which has surpassed the Rs 350 crore mark at the worldwide box office. Just a while back, film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to the microblogging site Twitter and announced the updated figures saying, "#KabirSingh [Week 7] Fri 13 lacs, Sat 21 lacs, Sun 33 lacs, Mon 13 lacs, Tue 13 lacs, Wed 12 lacs, Thu 12 lacs. Total: ₹ 278.24 cr. India biz."

He then tweeted, "#KabirSingh biz at a glance...Week 1: ₹ 134.42 cr, Week 2: ₹ 78.78 cr, Week 3: ₹ 36.40 cr, Week 4: ₹ 16.66 cr, Week 5: ₹ 8.10 cr, Week 6: ₹ 2.71 cr, Week 7: ₹ 1.17 cr. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Kabir Singh is also the only A-rated Bollywood film which has earned so much moolah at the domestic box office. Now that's a record which is almost impossible to break, hai na? Anyway, Shahid and Kiara's film will probably be out of theatres after next week as Mission Mangal and Batla House are the set to hit the screens on August 15.
