As the release date of Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is inching closer, Kangana Ranaut is speaking about anything and everything under the sun. She has been opening up about a lot of things including how the industry harassed her, cornered her and now, the actress has opened up about her #MeToo story. Speaking to DNA about how she was pinched on her butt in public, she said, "I was pinched on my butt in the middle of a group and that person was right there, looking at me. It was not even sexual, it was like ‘I did exactly what I was not supposed to do’. And looking me in the eye like ‘what are you going to do now?’ So, what do you expect? I think somewhere we should tell the girls that there are a few rules. Don't say ‘maybe,’ when you want to say ‘no’, it's important. Your safety doesn’t mean you can do Taekwondo and karate. It also means you go to someone who can save you; it may be a teacher, an uncle you trust, a friend, or the Mumbai Police, or go to the media, find a journalist and expose them. So, to tell them this and then get severely trolled for it, is horrible." Kangana Ranaut Is Upset With Bollywood For Behaving Like She Does NOT Exist - Read Statement.

There have been a lot of instances where actors and other people from the film industry have shared their #MeToo story in the recent past and in return, all they got was flak on social media. Kangana Ranaut Was Harassed Not Once, Not Twice But Multiple Times on Several Movie Sets!

While there are a lot of supporters out there, who extended their concern about the prevalence of sexual harassment at workplaces, a lot of them have also pointed finger at the victim blaming them for the assault or even worse, termed their claims "false". So, we do agree to an extent with what Kangy has to say about the mentality of the people here. But that's our take on it. We'd want you to share your thoughts on Kangana's statement? Do you think what she said makes sense or do you have a different take on it? Comment below and tell us.
