Akshay Kumar starrer Kesari has ended week 2 on a good note. The film, which is directed by Anurag Singh, released on March 21 and since then has been enjoying a dream run at the Indian box office. After registering the biggest opening of 2019 and becoming the fastest film to enter the Rs 100 crore club this year, Kesari is now Akshay Kumar's second highest grossing film after 2.0. Yes, you heard that right. The film has also surpassed the lifetime collection of Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and Rowdy Rathore which is quite impressive as well. Kesari Box Office Collection Day 14: Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra's Film Earns Rs 133.45 Crore.

Announcing the good news, film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to the popular microblogging site Twitter a while back and wrote, "#Kesari held pretty well in Week 2... Emerges Akshay’s second highest grosser... Should clear ₹ 145 cr, with chances of crossing ₹ 150 cr... [Week 2] Fri 4.45 cr, Sat 6.45 cr, Sun 8.25 cr, Mon 3.27 cr, Tue 2.75 cr, Wed 2.42 cr, Thu 2.07 cr. Total: ₹ 135.52 cr. India biz."

He also tweeted, "#Kesari biz at a glance...Week 1: ₹ 105.86 cr [8 days], Week 2: ₹ 29.66 cr. Total: ₹ 135.52 cr. India biz." Kesari Box Office Collection Day 13: Akshay Kumar Starrer Is Heading Towards the Rs 150 Crore Club, Earns Rs 131.03 Crore.

Further, a report in Boxofficeindia.com noted, "The film edged past the numbers of Toilet Ek Prem Katha and Rowdy Rathore in terms of NETT collections. It will probably need another week or so to go past the GROSS numbers of these films. The footfalls of Rowdy Rathore won't be reached which remains the biggest blockbuster of Akshay Kumar alongside the 1994 film Mohra."

Jointly produced by Karan Johar, Sajid Nadiadwala, and Fox Star Studios, Kesari also stars Parineeti Chopra but in a special appearance.
