Luka Chuppi, which released on March 1, is maintaining a good hold at the ticket windows despite new releases. Directed by Laxman Utekar, the film which stars Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon in the lead has already proven to be quite successful especially for the former. Apart from becoming Kartik's biggest opener, Luka Chuppi is also his highest opening weekend grosser to date. On day 1, the romantic comedy stormed the box office and collected Rs 8.01 crore, surprising everyone including trade pundits. Since then Utekar's film has been enjoying a good run at the domestic box office. Luka Chuppi Box Office Collection Day 7: Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon's Rom-Com Ends Week 1 on a Good Note, Earns Rs 53.70 Crore.

Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to the microblogging site Twitter a while back and revealed the updated figures. He wrote, "#LukaChuppi maintains well... Slightly affected by #CaptainMarvel wave at metros/plexes... Expected to gather speed on [second] Sat and Sun... [Week 2] Fri 3.04 cr. Total: ₹ 56.74 cr. India biz."

Further, a report in point out, "Luka Chuppi held well on its second Friday with collections in the 2.75-3 crore nett range. The drop from Thursday is only 20% which is good considering two new releases. The collections of the film so far are around 56 crore nett and it should now comfortably cross 75 crore nett. Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety hit 100 crore nett but that is probably difficult." Luka Chuppi Box Office Collection Day 6: Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon Starrer Is Rock Steady at the Ticket Windows, Earns Rs 49.67 Crore.

The two new releases that are drawing the audience in the cinema halls are Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu starrer Badla and Hollywood superhero flick Captain Marvel starring Brie Larson in the lead.  Both the films have opened well at the ticket windows and it would be interesting to see how these two films affect the business of Luka Chuppi and few other movies going forward.
