The popular comedy franchise Malamaal Weekly is returning for a sequel. Riteish Deshmukh, Rajpal Yadav, and Paresh Rawal Return to ‘Malamaal Weekly’With Elvish Yadav

According to an exclusive report by Bollywood Hungama, the project will bring together the original trio of Riteish Deshmukh, Paresh Rawal, and Rajpal Yadav, alongside new casting addition Elvish Yadav. The publication noted that "Riteish Deshmukh, Elvish Yadav, Paresh Rawal and Rajpal Yadav have been locked for Malamaal Weekly 2," adding that while Deshmukh leads the project, sources close to the production indicated he is reviewing the final script before formalising the contract.

The report further stated that verbal confirmations have been secured from all lead actors, with formal paperwork currently underway. The inclusion of Bigg Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav marks his second Bollywood appearance following his upcoming action debut. Additionally, reports indicate that actors Raveena Tandon and Parineeti Chopra have also joined the ensemble cast.

Principal photography for Malamaal Weekly 2 is scheduled to begin in November 2026, with the film targeting a 2027 theatrical release. Released in 2006 and directed by Priyadarshan, the original Malamaal Weekly was a cult comedy that starred Riteish Deshmukh, Paresh Rawal, Om Puri, Rajpal Yadav, and Innayatraj in key roles.
