Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is doing great business at the box office. The word of mouth publicity for the Kangana Ranaut starrer has helped it double its collection on day 2. While on day 1, the movie was able to earn Rs 8.75 crore at the ticket windows, on day two the moolah was even more. Manikarnika raked in Rs 18.10 crore on the first Saturday, bringing the total to a whopping Rs 26.85 crore. Whoa! The patriotic theme of the film worked in perfect tandem with Republic Day, motivating moviegoers to pick Manikarnika as their watch. One can expect the movie to earn double-digit numbers on first Sunday as well, as per trade analyst, Taran Adarsh.

The collection of Manikarnika is cumulative of the earnings in three languages, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. Cine-goers are undoubtedly loving the movie. The movie beat Shootout at Wadala, which had a collection of Rs 25.63 crore after the first Sunday. Manikarnika, at the moment, only falls behind Krrish 3, Kites Tanu Weds Manu Returns opening weekend collections. TWMR had a collection of Rs 37.58, which doesn't seem impossible to beat by the end of Sunday. However, Krrish 3 has an opening collection of Rs 49.47 crore, which is tricky to beat.
