The #MeToo movement has crawled the darkest corners of the nation, not sparing any field including Bollywood. After a Bollywood actress made sexual harassment allegations against Nana Patekar, the voices of other women have been unstoppable. Many names from like Sajid Khan, Vikas Bahl, Alok Nath, Subhash Ghai and more were accused of the same. Recently, actress/filmmaker Nandita Das' father Jatin Das too got accused by a woman for sexual misconduct. However, the actress has come out saying that despite the 'disturbing' allegations on her father, she continues to support the movement.

In her Facebook post, the Manto maker wrote, "As a strong supporter of the #MeToo movement, I want to reiterate that I will continue to add my voice to it, despite the disturbing allegations made against my father, which he has categorically denied. I have maintained from the very start that this is the time we all need to listen, so that women (and men) feel safe to speak up. At the same time, it is also important to be sure about allegations so as not to dilute the movement."

All kinds of things are happening these days... Some people do things and some people make allegations. I don't know her, I have never met her, and even if I did meet somebody somewhere one doesn't behave like this... It is vulgar."

Earlier, comedian Mallika Dua's father Vinod Dua too was accused of stalking and sexual harassment. However, she said that she will continue to support the movement but also stand by her father against these accusations. Stay tuned with us for more updates on the current situation in B-town.
