The future doesn't seem so bright for Alok Nath. The veteran actor was accused of sexual harassment by the producer and writer of Tara - a popular 90s TV show. She took to her Facebook account to reveal horrific details of the incident when Alok Nath raped her and then made it difficult for her to survive in the industry. CINTAA had then issued a show-cause notice to the senior actor asking him to give them a reason to not expel him from their membership. However, as per a report in the Indian Express, the victim has now filed an FIR against the actor in Mumbai. The police, however, revealed that they still had to register the FIR. Actor's lawyer, Ashok Saraogi had earlier mentioned that the actor has submitted his response to CINTAA. His response is in the form of a 2-page statement that denies all claims made against him and mentions that there is no official complaint against him in front of any authorities. His statement reply read, “Your letter indicates that my client should show show-cause as to why he should not be expelled from membership of your association. All charges levelled against him for alleged sexual assault alleged to have taken place between 1998 and 1999. Please know that the contents of the letter are false. No such charge has been levelled against my client in front of a competent authority." It wasn't just the victim who had experienced such traumatic behaviour. Actresses Sandhya Mridul and Deepika Amin had also revealed their experiences where Alok Nath harassed them sexually.
