August begins with three new offerings in India, a solo Bollywood release and two Hollywood outings each. Sonakshi Sinha's adult comedy Khandaani Shafakhana, Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham's Fast & Furious Presents Hobbs & Shaw and Isabela Moner’s fantasy adventure Dora and the Lost City of Gold all set to release on August 2.

Speaking about Khandaani Shafakhana, it is rapper Badshah's Bollywood debut where he plays a famous musician on-screen, a character close to his real self.  The trailer looks funny banging on a social subject of talking openly on sex issues. Coming to the Hollywood releases, there are high anticipations riding on The Fast and the Furious spin-off, Hobbs & Shaw. Khandaani Shafakhana

Helmed by Shilpi Dasgupta, Khandaani Shafakhana is a comedy-drama revolving around the central character of Babita aka Baby Bedi, played by Sonakshi Sinha, who takes on the responsibility of running a sex clinic. Her intent is to spread awareness about sex issues that the society finds awkward to openly talk about. This serious campaign of her unwinds some situational comedy. The film also stars Annu Kapoor, Badshah and Varun Sharma in major roles.

Fast & Furious Presents Hobbs & Shaw

David Leitch-directed Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw is a stand-alone film from The Fast and the Furious franchise. Which brings the two prominent characters Hobbs and Shaw, played by Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham respectively, who have featured in previous Fast and Furious Films. They team up to take down the baddies Brixton (Idris Elba), Lattie (Vanessa Kirby) and Queenie (Helen Mirren). The trailer is a roller coaster ride full of action, flavour of quirkiness and Statham and Johnson's banter do make it a fun film to watch.

Dora and the Lost City of Gold

After making Disney's Alice in Wonderland's live-action sequel, James Bobin directs Dora and the Lost City of Gold which adds yet another adaptation to his name. The film revolves around the lead character of Dora, an adventure-loving teenager who enters high school grade. Her usual life becomes way more interesting when she gets accompanied by a group of teens and her most trusted buddy Boots the Monkey to explore an exciting quest. The film features Isabela Moner as Dora. Its supporting cast includes Eugenio Derbez as Alejandro Gutierrez, Danny Trejo gives voice to Boots the Monkey, Benicio del Toro as Swiper the Fox and Madeleine Madden among others.
