One of the parameters to judge the star value of a Bollywood actor is how much they get paid per film. More than the number of hits, the performance or the number of films, is judged by the pay cheque they take home. And this trend is only growing by the day. That being said, the industry is still not only about money making. The actors and filmmakers also share great friendships, so much so that a couple of them have done films for free. At times, actors showed their large-hardheartedness and did a film just out of love and conviction, without charging anything.

When actors don't charge a fee for acting in a film, they usually make money from profit sharing of the movie. So, it is all about doing their best and waiting for the film to be a super-hit! Shah Rukh Khan recently made a joke suggesting Aamir Khan to charge lesser fees.

Another diva who did a song for free is the one who is taking over both Bollywood and Hollywood alike, Priyanka Chopra. Priyanka did the song "You get me rocking and reeling" from Shah Rukh Khan's Billu for free. There were also reports that she was doing the film Bharat for free, later it was said she will be charging a whopping Rs 12 crore. Though, Priyanka Chopra has now dropped out of Bharat.
