Rajkummar Rao is all set to star in the remake of Hrishikesh Mukherjee's much-loved film, Chupke Chupke. We had earlier reported that the actor will be reprising Dharmendra's role of Dr Parimal Tripathi aka Pyaare in the film. While the remake was announced, the film's title remained in question because the title's rights were initially bought by Manish Goswami who had registered it for his production house a long time ago. Although a recent report in Mumbai Mirror states that he has now parted with this title after Bhushan Kumar approached him for the same. Rajkummar Rao All Set to Reprise the Role of Dharmendra in Chupke Chupke Remake.

The remake is being helmed by Luv Ranjan of Pyaar Ka Punchnama fame. Given that Goswami has now handed over the title rights to producer Bhushan Kumar, the remake of the 1975 original will now be titled by the same name just like Kartik Aryan, Ananya Panday and Bhumi Pednekar's upcoming release Pati Patni Aur Woh which is also a remake.

More details on the casting of the remake are yet to be out and we are waiting to see who is roped in as the leading lady in the film. The supporting characters are also key in this film and it will certainly be interesting to see who is cast in the role of Amitabh Bachchan for the remake.

For the uninitiated, the original film revolved around Dharmendra's character of the Botany professor pretending to be a chauffeur who is in love with Sharmila Tagore's character. This story is staged to fool, Tagore's Barrister brother-in-law played by the exceptional Om Prakash.
