Rohit Shetty Is Working on Golmaal 5 Story, Confirms Shreyas Talpade

Golmaal series by Rohit Shetty has been among the director’s biggest blockbuster projects over the years. The laughter riot garnered wide appreciations and fans look forward to one instalment after another. After delivering the box-office hits Simmba last year, Rohit announced the sequel, Sooryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar. Despite the rumours of the making of Golmaal 5, no official confirmations were made by the makers. Actor Shreyas Talpade finally gave out some details about the making of Golmaal 5. In an interview with CineBlitz, Shreyas stated, “Like we gave a small hint in Aankh Maare, Rohit is also very keen that we do the fifth part of Golmaal. He is working on a story right now, which none of us are privy to. Eventually, he will tell us what our dates are for shooting, but I think it will be in 2020 when we should probably shoot for it.”

He added, “I am just keeping my fingers crossed as it is a great franchise, and we all have a good time shooting it together. Yes, we want to do the fifth part and we are hopeful that Rohit will crack a story soon and call us for the shoot.” Exclusive! On the work front, Rohit Shetty is currently working for his next project Sooryavanshi. The movie will mark the first collaboration of the filmmaker with Akshay Kumar. The movie will go on floors in May and will hit the theatres in Eid 2020. Produced under the banner of Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, Sooryavanshi release will clash with Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt starrer Inshallah. The director has also joined hands with Farah Khan for the remake of a popular Hindi film and it is touted as a big Bollywood musical.
