Robby Grewal's latest directorial venture Romeo Akbar Walter is slowly picking up the pace at the box office in India. Starring John Abraham in the lead, the spy thriller arrived in theatres on Friday, April 5, and despite being a solo release the film got off to an average start. As predicted by trade analysts, John starrer minted over Rs 5 crore on day 1. But on day 2, the film performed even better and witnessed a good spike in its collection. As per various trade portals, the espionage thriller raked in Rs 7 crore on its second day, bringing its two-day collection to Rs 12.25 crore which isn't bad at all. Romeo Akbar Walter Box Office Collection Day 1: John Abraham's Spy Thriller Witnesses Decent Opening, Mints Around Rs 6 Crore

Further, a report in Boxofficeindia noted, "Romeo Akbar Walter had a fair jump of around 30% on its second day. A few years ago this would have been a good jump but it is pretty much normal today for a film which has not opened well. If the film can follow up with this sort of growth or more on Sunday then it could give it a chance to sustain on Monday and after."

Apart from Romeo Akbar Walter, Hollywood superhero film Shazam! also released in cinema halls on Friday. The film has been doing ordinary business at the Indian box office as so far it has managed to clocked in Rs 7.25 crore in two-days as per BOI. RAW – Romeo Akbar Walter Movie Review: John Abraham and Mouni Roy’s Spy Drama Is a Stirring Saga of Effective Thrills and Surprises
