Just when we thought Sanjay Leela Bhansali dropped the big news of starring Alia Bhatt and Salman Khan together for the first time, it seems that the filmmaker has much more in store for us. Earlier this week, Alia revealed the upcoming project Inshallah and couldn’t hold back her excitement. SLB, in an interview, confirmed the news and said, “Alia is a talented actor, who I knew I would direct someday.” However, the director further dropped a major hint of also working with Priyanka Chopra Jonas in a project titled GangubaiZee Cine Awards 2019: Inshallah Actress Alia Bhatt Talks About Working With the Superhit Duo Salman Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali (Watch Video).

Priyanka had earlier expressed a keen interest in working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, in the finale episode of the sixth season of Karan Johar’s celebrity talk show Koffee With Karan. The episode was star-studded with PeeCee and Kareena Kapoor sharing the Koffee couch. Priyanka revealed that she has been in talks with SLB for a film, but did not give away anything else. Now, in an interview where the filmmaker talked about Inshallah, he seemed to have confirmed the news of his talks with the Desi Girl for the film titled Gangubai.

The director confirmed, “I love the story, it’s been with me for long and I’m keen to make the film. Priyanka and I are in talks.” Not Inshallah, but Shah Rukh Khan to Be a Part of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Two-Hero Period Saga?

Priyanka was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s directorial venture Bajirao Mastani, which was a huge success across the quarters. Not only did it make big on box-office collections, but it was also widely appreciated by fans and critics alike. The film also starred Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone in the lead. After her film, PeeCee got busy with her wedding ceremonies with Nick Jonas, as she tied the knot in December last year. And as we were eagerly waiting for the diva to make the big-screen presence felt in Bollywood, this news has just triggered our happy nerves, and we couldn’t be happier.
