Bollywood industry is reviving the good old days with multiple sequels as we have a sequel to Sadak, Student of the Year, Housefull, and Hindi Medium, helmed by different filmmakers. Now the news of the sequel to Ishq Vishk is icing the cake. According to a report published in Mumbai Mirror, producer Ramesh Taurani has confirmed that a sequel to Ishq Vishk is underway as he stated, “Yes, we are making a sequel to Ishq Vishk. The story is in the scripting stage and could be about a teenage romance. Hopefully, in the next two-three months, we will lock the script and start looking for the director and cast.”

Ishq Vishk was clearly one of our all-time favourite films as it also marked the beginning of Shahid Kapoor’s journey in Bollywood. This also makes us wonder if, for the sequel too, the filmmakers will cast newcomers or not. Shahid and Amrita’s chemistry was so much appreciated by the audiences that the duo was paired in many films such as Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi!, Shikhar and Vivah. The Shahid starrer film also starred Shenaz Treasury and Vishal Malhotra in crucial roles. Ken Ghosh’s directorial venture revolved around the love story Rajiv (Shahid) and Payal (Amrita). Although the film garnered many appreciations and was loved by almost everyone, it would be interesting to watch the lead cast of the sequel.
