Kartik Aaryan, Sunny Singh and Nushrat Bharucha’s flick is getting rave response all over the nation. The trio made a special place in the hearts of the fans through their last Luv Ranjan film, ‘Pyaar ka Punchnama 2’. The director came up with the same trio and as expected, it got the positive response from the loyal fans of PKP franchise. The film is already declared as a super- hit and is gradually inching towards the 100-crore club touted to be extremely prestigious in the industry. On day 10, the movie has efficaciously raked in Rs 65.34 crore in total.

Bollywood Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#SonuKeTituKiSweety continues its DREAM RUN... Proves its supremacy by grossing more than the new releases... Emerges SUPER-HIT... [Week 2] Fri 5.83 cr, Sat 6.55 cr, Sun 7.02 cr. Total: ₹ 65.34 cr. India biz... #SKTKS.”

Kartik became fan-favorite after his long monologues in the Luv Ranjan films. When asked about him sticking only to this genre and the negative comments on stereotyping, he told HT, “It’s [comments on stereotyping] not affecting me and that is why I am taking up such roles. A lot of people ask you the same questions, but I’m not thinking in terms of getting stereotyped. If I have to do 40 films like Punchnama, I will take it up as long as I enjoy it.”

Interestingly, the film was in the competition with ‘Welcome to New-York’ which flaunted the A-list stars like Karan Johar, Diljit Dosanjh, Sonakshi Sinha, Rana Daggubatti, Riteish Deshmukh and cameos by Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif. However, this flick turned out to be a terrible dud at the ticket windows. Well, looks like audience is inclined more towards content than the star-studded unimpressive films!
