Aditya Dhar's directorial venture Uri: The Surgical Strike is all set to create new box office record. Starring Vicky Kaushal in the lead, the film will soon become the first medium-budget movie to enter the Rs 200 crore club at the domestic box office. Despite being in its fourth week, the military drama is still getting cash registers ringing big time. That's not all! Uri has done a phenomenal job overall at the box office too. So much so that its slowly inching towards the Rs 300 crore mark at the worldwide box office. Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to microblogging site Twitter a while back and announced the updated figures. He wrote, "#UriTheSurgicalStrike will emerge the first *mid-range film* to cross ₹ 200 cr mark today [Day 28]... [Week 4] Fri 3.44 cr, Sat 6.61 cr, Sun 8.87 cr, Mon 2.85 cr, Tue 2.62 cr, Wed 2.38 cr. Adarsh also tweeted, "#UriTheSurgicalStrike benchmarks...Crossed ₹ 50 cr: Day 5, ₹ 75 cr: Day 8, ₹ 100 cr: Day 10, ₹ 125 cr: Day 13, ₹ 150 cr: Day 17, ₹ 175 cr: Day 23, ₹ 200 cr: Day 28. Uri, which also stars Yami Gautam, Paresh Rawal, and television actor Mohit Raina, has been made on a budget of Rs 54 crore. The film released on January 11 and opened to not so rave reviews from the critics. However, Vicky's solid performance and Dhar's storytelling method impressed the audience big time and hence the film ended up ruling the box office. In fact, it's still on top at the ticket windows which is absolutely terrific.
