Veere Di Wedding is one of the two big releases of this week, the other being Bhavesh Joshi Superhero. The movie is a celebration of friendship, with the makers persistently claiming that Veere Di Wedding is not a chick flick. Veere Di Wedding stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania. Veere Di Wedding is directed by Shashanka Ghosh and is produced by Rhea Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor and Nikhil Dwivedi. Our movie critic, Sreeju Sudhakaran, is currently watching the movie and this is what he has to say about the first half of Veere Di Wedding.

Veere Di Wedding is about four besties. Kareena Kapoor Khan is in a committed relationship with Sumeet Vyas, who finds herself in a quandary when he proposes marriage. Sonam Kapoor is single and not willing to commit herself to a relationship. Swara Bhasker's marriage is heading towards into a divorce, while Shikha Talsania had eloped early with her lover and has a stable family life. Their lives take for an interesting turn when one of them gets ready to change her relationship status.

The first half of Veere Di Wedding is fun and engaging. The girl gang's antics and jokes will keep you chuckling. The liberal usage of swear words and entrendres may feel forced, but thanks to the lively performances of the actors involved, we bear through them. You just can't miss the whole Sex and the City vibe. Among the cast, Kareena Kapoor and Swara Bhasker stand out. The songs add to the quirky factor of the movie.

There is still a lot to watch and say about this movie, so check out our website for the complete review of Veere Di Wedding.
