Zero, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif, was touted as one of the biggest releases of this year and hence the expectations from the movie were sky-high. Also, the fact that King Khan's last film Jab Harry Met Sejal tanked at the box office, fans were hoping the superstar would be back with a bang with his latest outing. However, the Aanand L Rai directorial couldn't wow the critics and ended up mostly receiving not-so-great reviews. This obviously affected its performance at the box office too. Trade experts were of the opinion that Zero would collect Rs 30 crore on its opening day in the worst case scenario. But sadly, Khan's film only earned Rs 20.14 crore on day 1.

Zero underperformed at the box office over the first weekend as well and raked in Rs 59.07 crore in three days. And now according to the early estimates, the film has collected Rs 10 crore on its first Monday. This means the total four-day collection of Khan's film stands at Rs 69 crore.

While the official figures aren't out, trade expert Ramesh Bala took to Twitter and announced the tentative figures for Monday. He wrote, '#Zero 's early estimates for Monday - Dec 24th - All-India Nett is around ₹ 10 Crs..' Zero Box Office Collection Day 2: Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma's Drama Sees a Slight Dip, Collects Rs 38.36 Crore.

Made on a reported budget of Rs 200 crore, Zero is Shah Rukh's most expensive film made to date. While the film hasn't got cash registers ringing as one would have expected, Zero still has a chance to end up with decent figures. However, if the SRK starrer fails to take advantage of the Christmas holiday then it would be difficult for the film to rake in money Friday onwards as Ranveer Singh's Simmba is arriving in the theatres. Co-starring Sara Ali Khan, the cop drama is directed by Rohit Shetty and is expected to do well at the box office.
