For the first time in decades, Academy Awards will be held without a celebrity host spearheading the ceremony. This comes after Kevin Hart's appointment and then subsequent removal as the Oscars 2019 host. Someone found his borderline homophobic tweets from the past, which blew up into controversy, you see. The changes have forced the Oscars to go on stage without a host. (The Academy says this has been done to cut time). But, hey, whatever happens, it can't be worse than the time when Anne Hathaway and James Franco hosted the Oscars. Right?  We are not saying that. Anne is saying that. Academy Awards 2019 Red Carpet: Pose Actor Billy Porter Is Already Winning Hearts For Showing Up In A Suave Black Tuxedo Gown!

Anne, the gorgeous actress, got the chance to host the Oscars with James Franco in 2011. The gig was quite cringe-worthy as the two actors proved to be absolute disasters of hosts. The internet still dubs it as one of the worst moments of Oscars history. No, seriously - the gi made its way to a lot of listicles on the internet.

Before Oscars 2019 kickstarted, Anne took to her Instagram page, to make light of the moment. She posted a picture from her 2011 hosting gig with James. And she wrote, "No matter what happens with today's show, just remember, it's already been worse," adding, "Happy Oscars!"

No matter what happens with today’s show, just remember, it’s already been worse. Happy Oscars!

Well, that is funny and gutsy. Also, what could go wrong truly? Even with a host, the cast and crew of La La Land and Moonlight ended up on stage together confused about who has won the Best Picture awards two years back. It really can't get worse than THAT. Or can it? We will find out in a couple of hours.
