When the director of the immensely entertaining Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Iron Man 3 and The Nice Guys is making a Predator movie, you have it give it your full attention. Shane Black, who is more popular for his razor-sharp writing, will be directing the reboot of the popular Predator franchise, bringing in a whole new perspective to the series. The franchise had its beginning with the iconic 1987 movie, Predator that had Arnold Schwarzenegger and his band of boys fighting a monstrous alien hunter. While the first movie is a cult classic, the sequels and the spinoffs were received with less critical acclaim. Shane Black wishes to change that aspect with his reboot, The Predator.

The first promo has landed which shows how Predator is back on Earth killing people all because a young boy (Room's Jacob Tremblay) accidentally activates the beacon. The trailer doesn't give much out in terms of the violence and the stars in the movie, but there are glimpses of that R-rated bloodshed as the Predator takes down an unfortunate soldier. Also, that scary, clicking noise is back!

The Predator boasts of quite an interesting cast in Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes, Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Munn, Sterling K Brown, Alfie Allen, Thomas Jane along with Tremblay. However, it's Holbrook, Munn and Tremblay who gets more screentime while the rest are confined to just glimpses. Perhaps the next trailer might rectify this.

The Predator, brought to the screens by 20th Century Fox, is all set to release on September 14 in both regular and IMAX formats.
