We all know that the sequel to the 2017 hit superhero film, Wonder Woman is on the way, with the lead star Gal Gadot and director Patty Jenkins returning. While the first movie has a World War I setting, the sequel is set during the fag-end of the Cold War, during 1984, and is called Wonder Woman 1984.

It has been earlier reported the movie has found its antagonist in Kristen Wiig, who is to play Barbara Minerva aka The Cheetah. The Cheetah is considered as one of Wonder Woman's big foes, who is often at war with the Amazonian princess, and possesses super-strength and immortality. Patty Jenkins revealed the first look of the actress from the movie, which looks like a scene before she became Cheetah. In the still she is looking at stuffed animals, and goes by what her character Minerva is - an unassuming British archaeologist and rich heiress, before she gets her powers.

Earlier, we had seen another picture featuring Chris Pine, who played Steve Trevor in the first movie, an American war pilot who sacrifices himself in the end to save humanity. However, the picture reveals he is all but alive and is adjusting with America of the '80s. With these pictures we are quite intrigued by the whole setting of Wonder Woman 1984.

Wonder Woman sequel is all set to release in November 2019.
