Kedarnath is the acid test for another star kid wanting to make it big in Bollywood, just like her parents. Ex-couple Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh's daughter, Sara Ali Khan is making her debut with this Abhishek Kapoor film, that also has Sushant Singh Rajput as the lead. Apart from being Sara's debut, Kedarnath has been mired in many controversies, the most recent being religious outfits filing a PIL against the movie's theme and the fact that it promotes 'love jihad', just because the lead couple play characters belonging to different religions. Sara Ali Khan’s Style File for Kedarnath Promotions Proves Simplicity Is the Ultimate Sophistication - View Pics.

We are watching Kedarnath right now and here's what we think about the movie's first half -

"Kedarnath is set against the backdrop of Uttarakhand flood of 2013. Since we cannot narrate a real-life disaster tale without spinning a fictional love story, we have one here involving Sushant Singh Rajput's Muslim tour guide, who carries tourists to the temple, and Sara Ali Khan's Mandakini, the spunky daughter of a Hindu priest. And yes, she is engaged to a vain, selfish guy to whom her father is inexplicably indebted to.

The first half is invested in the love story and fleshing out the lead characters. While there is nothing to crow about in their romance, Sara and Sushant's performances give us something to root for. A couple of scenes do hint at the impeding danger, but we do wish there were more such scenes instead of focussing on a love story so oft told. The picturesque locales of Uttarakhand add a quaint charm to the romance."
