Veteran actor of Tamil cinema, Kamal Haasan, completed 60 years in cinema career. He started off as a child artist in 1960 with the film Kalathur Kannamma for which Haasan even won the President's Gold Medal. A grand event was held on November 17 in honour of Kamal Haasan, a celebration marking his 60 years in cinema. The event called Ungal Naan was attended by the leading celebs of Tamil cinema. It was during the event the director of Indian 2, Shankar, revealed that Kamal Haasan would be speaking in Gujarati as well in the upcoming action thriller. Indian 2 is the sequel of the 1996 film Indian and Kamal Haasan would be reprising his role as Senapthy. It was during the event when the ace filmmaker revealed that Kamal Haasan would be speaking in Gujarati in few scenes. Fans who were present at the event were in for a treat as Haasan spoke few lines in Gujarati. Indian 2 is produced by Subaskaran Allirajah’s Lyca Productions. The team recently shot for an action sequence in Bhopal and it was reportedly worth Rs 40 crore. The other actors who would be seen in key roles include Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Siddharth, Delhi Ganesh and Nedumudi Venu. The film’s music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander and it is the first time he has joined hands with Shankar and Kamal Haasan. The film is slated to release in 2021.
