To capitalise on Kerala's love and craze for Malayalam megastar Mohanlal, comes a movie that is dedicated to and named after him. Mohanlal, the latest Vishu release, is directed by Sajid Yahiya, who previously madeĀ his directorial debut with the comedy,Ā IDI - Inspector Dawood Ibrahim, starring Jayasurya. Yahiya had also acted in movies likeĀ Theevram,Ā Amen,Ā Bangalore Days andĀ Double Barrel.

Manju Warrier plays the lead in the movie - a hardcore Mohanlal fan who is named Meenukutty (after actress Rekha's character's name in Mohanlal's Aey Auto). The movie is about how her fan-love for Mohanlal plays problems in her domestic life. Indrajith Sukumaran plays the main lead, while the movie also stars Aju Varghese,Ā Salim Kumar,Ā Soubin Shahir,Ā K. P. A. C. Lalitha, Siddique andĀ Hareesh Perumanna. The song from the movie, La La Laletaa, had become a huge viral hit.

Interestingly, the movie will clash with Kammara Sambhavam, which stars actor Dileep in the lead. So it looks like the case of clash between the exes at the box office. Manju Warrier will also be seen as the female lead in actor Mohanlal's much anticipated Odiyan, directed by Sreekumar Menon. In fact, she is considered as one of Lalettan's most recommended heroiens in his movies.
