Actress Alleges Assault by First Responder
The incident occurred in the early hours of March 31 at Michalsky’s condominium. The 30-year-old actress reported that she began suffering from acute breathing difficulties and a panic episode after taking medication. In a weakened state and awaiting emergency transport to a hospital, she found herself unable to defend herself despite remaining conscious. “While I was in an extremely vulnerable state, unable to move or protect myself, I was sexually assaulted. This should never happen to anyone,” Michalsky wrote in a statement shared on her Instagram account. The actress alleged that the first responder to arrive at her room, a man dressed in black took advantage of her condition. She stated that he touched her inappropriately and partially undressed her while she lay on her bed. During the four-hour questioning at Khlong Tan Police Station, Michalsky noted that while her vision was blurry, she recalled the events clearly.
Suspect Confesses in Actress Assault Case
Police Colonel Phisit Meewiriyakul, superintendent of Khlong Tan Police Station, confirmed that investigators reviewed CCTV footage from the condominium. The footage shows the suspect arriving at approximately 03:39 and later carrying the actress in and out of her room. The suspect was also observed using his mobile phone outside the room before other officials and friends arrived. The Bangkok South Criminal Court approved an arrest warrant for Nikorn on charges of committing an indecent act against a person over 15 by coercion while the victim was unable to resist. On April 2, police revealed that the suspect confessed to the indecent acts and admitted to taking photographs of the actress. While the suspect claimed he had since deleted the images and had not shared them, authorities have seized his mobile devices for forensic examination to verify if any data can be recovered. Actress Vows Legal Action After Assault Arrest
Following the arrest, Michalsky expressed a determination to pursue the case to its legal conclusion, clarifying that she is not seeking financial compensation. “I truly hope that this situation can serve as a case study and be beneficial to others in many ways,” she said in a second statement. “If you hold the truth, please have faith in yourself, because the truth will always remain the truth.” She also urged authorities to address legal loopholes regarding the vetting of rescue volunteers. While seeking justice, the actress stressed that her experience should not be used to judge all rescue workers, many of whom perform life-saving duties. The suspect was scheduled to be remanded at the Bangkok South Criminal Court on April 3 for further legal proceedings.
