‘Grey’s Anatomy’ (2006-2012, 2021)

Eric Dane’s most iconic role was as Dr. Mark Sloan. Initially a guest star on ABC show Grey’s Anatomy, Eric Dane became a fan favourite and series regular. He returned almost two decades later for a special guest appearance in Season 17.

‘The Last Ship’ (2014-2018)

Eric Dane anchored TNT’s post-apocalyptic action drama for five seasons as Commanding Officer Tom Chandler, leading the crew of a Navy destroyer to save humanity from a global pandemic. From Commander, Chandler goes on to become Captain and finally Admiral.

‘Euphoria’ (2019-2026)

In a career-defining shift, Eric Dane played Cal Jacobs in HBO’s Euphoria, the troubled and repressed bisexual father of Nate Jacobs. Dane’s final performances in the upcoming Euphoria Season 3 (premiering April 2026) were completed prior to his passing.

‘Brilliant Minds’ (2025)

This is one of the final TV appearances of Eric Dane, where he guest-starred as a man living with ALS. He drew from his real-life experience of being an ALS patient to raise awareness about the incurable disease on the NBC show. What Is ALS?
