Recently, a former aspirant Nishant Kaushik, who had auditioned for Indian Idol in 2012, revealed dirty secrets of the show. Nishant had taken to the micro-blogging site to share his ugly experience, while audition for the reality show, in a thread of tweets, which has since gone viral. From allegations of humiliation, lack of basic amenittraumatic exies and violence on the show’s sets, Nishant had described everything in great detail. While all of us assumed that Indian Idol is a great platform to showoff our singing prowess and make a name for themselves, Nishant had to say something otherwise. In his words, "It's a perfect platform to destroy your dreams." After Nishant's tweets grabbed many eyeballs, now, the former Indian Idol host, Mini Mathur, has responded to these allegations.

Reacting to Nishant's tweet, Mathur, who had hosted Indian Idol between 2004-07 and once again in 2012, wrote on Twitter, "This sucks. Thanks for forwarding me this thread. I wasn’t part of the 2012 season but I know most of what he has articulated is known to happen on reality tv. One of the reasons I bowed out. This incessant need to create false emotion. RIP Organic, pure TV."

Here's what Mini Mathur replied:

Indian idol, is one of the oldest and popular singing reality show. The show is into its tenth season and the panel now has Anu Malik, Neha Kakkar and Vishal Dadlani as the judges with Maniesh Paul as the host. Well, now that you've seen what goes on behind the scenes, do you think Indian Idol, that had a very loyal fan base, will lose its fans for their callous attitude towards the contestants.
