The 2026 slate features 64 nominees across 16 categories, representing talent and productions from 22 countries. Selected by a panel of more than 1,000 global television industry professionals, the lineup highlights international drama, comedy, documentaries, and performance categories. The winners will be revealed during the annual gala ceremony in New York City on November 23.

2026 International Emmy Nominations

This year’s nominations showcase a wide mix of established entertainment markets and emerging global storytellers, spanning countries such as the United Kingdom, India, Argentina, France, South Korea, Brazil, and Japan.   Among the standout categories, the Best Drama Series race includes the British period drama A Thousand Blows, France’s historical series Carême, Argentina’s political biographical drama Menem, and Sony LIV’s sports drama Real Kashmir Football Club from India.

In the Comedy category, Indian stand-up comedian Vir Das earned his third career International Emmy nomination for his Netflix special Vir Das: Fool Volume, alongside Argentina's Division Palermo, the British series Man vs Baby, and Spain's Old Dog, New Tricks.

The International Emmy Awards continue to reflect the rapidly expanding global footprint of streaming platforms and cross-border co-productions. Over the past decade, non-English programming and international originals have seen increased viewership worldwide, translating into higher competition across all categories.

The International Academy's annual competition focuses exclusively on television programming produced and initially aired outside the United States.
