Podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia has broken his silence regarding the sharp commentary directed at him by comedian Samay Raina in his latest stand-up special, Still Alive. During a recent public appearance on April 11, Allahbadia responded with a mix of sarcasm and indifference to the digs made by his former collaborator. The interaction follows the release of Raina's special, which extensively revisits the viral controversy surrounding their digital reality show India's Got Latent, an event that led to significant legal and social media backlash for both creators. ‘Still Alive’: Samay Raina Roasts Ranveer Allahbadia Aka BeerBiceps Over ‘IGL’ Row, Takes Dig at Sunil Pal, Mukesh Khanna and B Praak (Watch Video).
Ranveer Allahbadia Reacts to Samay Raina’s ‘Still Alive’ Jokes?
When questioned by paparazzo Shailesh Pandey about Samay Raina's remarks, Allahbadia initially took a dismissive and sarcastic tone. According to the Free Press Journal, when the comedian's name was brought up, the podcaster responded, "Samay… kaun Samay? Kya Samay? Humara time. It's our time, my time is now (Samay? Who Samay? What Samay? Our time. It's our time)."
In a separate video interaction, Allahbadia appeared to address the viral snippets of the special more broadly, suggesting he is unfazed by the criticism. "Tareefein toh sunai de rahi hain… tareef hum tak pahunch jati hai (I can hear the praises... the praise reaches me)," he said. He further emphasised his commitment to staying positive, stating, "Jitni zyada positivity aap andar rakhoge, utni zyada aap attract karte ho. Main bohot 'mazaak kiya' bhi hoon… good sense of humour. Smile karte rehna chahiye (The more positivity you keep inside, the more you attract. I have also joked a lot... good sense of humour. One should keep smiling)."

Samay Rainas 'Still Alive' Special
The reaction comes after Samay Raina used his Still Alive special to share his perspective on the fallout from India's Got Latent controversy. Raina humorously claimed that Allahbadia "ruined" his mental health, noting that while Allahbadia knows meditation, he does not have the same tools to cope.
Raina also poked fun at Allahbadia’s public persona, jokingly referring to him as "the monk who sold my Ferrari." Addressing the widely criticised "parents" question that sparked the original controversy, Raina revealed that Allahbadia had reportedly repeated the question eight times during the shoot, along with other "obscene" remarks. Raina quipped that he had already "killed 99 percent of the germs" in the editing room, but chose to leave one instance in the final cut.
More About Controversy
The tension between the two stems from an episode of India's Got Latent aired in early 2025, where Allahbadia served as a guest judge. A specific question he posed to a contestant involving a sexual scenario became a flashpoint for nationwide outrage, resulting in multiple FIRs and the eventual removal of the series from YouTube. ‘Kutte Ki Dum’: Mukesh Khanna Slams Samay Raina, Actor Calls for Comedian To Be Paraded on Donkey Over ‘Shaktimaan’ Roast (View Post).
While Allahbadia eventually issued an apology and returned to his digital platforms, the incident significantly impacted the production of the show. Despite the past friction and the recent exchange of words, Samay Raina has confirmed that he plans to bring the show back for a second season.
