Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan is considered as one of the best adaptations of Lord Rama and Sita's story. Ramayan was later picked up to air on Star Plus as well and was a huge success on both GEC channels. Also, the media went gaga over actors Arun Govil (Ram), Sunil Lahri (Laxman) and Dipika Chikhlia (Sita). Dipika captioned her post, "Wishing you a happy healthy life .,.best Ravan to date .....he not only kidnapped me and took sitaji to Ashok vatika but he also convinced me to get into politics....Ravan ji." Back during telecast of Ramayan, Arvind Trivedi's went viral where he was seen apologising to the viewers during the 'Sita apaharan' scene on TV. The actor was also involved in a death hoax which he clarified and also joined Twitter.
