Seems like the stars are not really in favour of Kapil Sharma. The comedian who returned with the second season of The Kapil Sharma show received a lukewarm response from his fans and the usual TV audiences. Going by the recent reports, this new show isn't ranking the numbers as expected and it's a thing to worry. While Salman Khan is backing the show and Kapil is co-producing it, its initial numbers have disappointed the Firangi actor tremendously. Apparently, the comedian had also slashed down his fees excessively for this new season. The Kapil Sharma Show Season 2 Episode 1: Ranveer Singh Joins the Comedian for a Fun Filled New Ride.

According to a Dainik Bhaskar report, Kapil used to charge Rs 60-70 lakh per weekend episode earlier. However, he currently charges around Rs 15-20 lakh per weekend episode and this is evidently a huge pay cut. Even his co-comedians, Bharti Singh and Krushna Abhishek get somewhere around Rs 10- 12 lakh per weekend episode. Wonder if the pay cut was intentional on Kapil's part or he was asked to do it after the failure of his previous show. Bharti Singh Waited for Nine Months to be Part of Kapil Sharma's Show.

In the second season's premiere episode, we saw Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan go on a laughter riot with Rohit Shetty. And this week, we'll see Salman Khan with Salim Khan, Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan bring the house down. We sincerely wish for the show to pick momentum in its coming weeks and hope the new lady luck works in Kapil's favour.
