Jhanvi wast at a session with father Boney Kapoor recently, which was moderated by Rumi Jaffery. The Dhadak actress surprised her hosts with her knowledge of classics and poetry. Jhanvi showcased her love for language and seems to master not just Hindi, but is equally eloquent in Urdu. This despite the actress learning Tamil or Telugu from her mother Sridevi. At this event the young beauty and Dharma Productions new poster girl after Alia Bhatt also recited a poem for in honour of her late mom, veteran actress Sridevi.

At IFFI Goa this year, the actress read out a poem that she had penned down for her mom. In fact, Boney Kapoor got extremely emotional while he was asked about wife Sridevi's untimely demise. The filmmaker choked and almost got teary eyed as he recalled the most shocking moments of his life earlier this year. However, he did admit that watching all his four kids stand together and draw strength from each other felt like balm to his broken heart.

Last year, Janhvi had attended the same event in Goa with both her parents and we bet that both Janhvi and her father missed Sridevi terribly this time around. Also see: Janhvi Kapoor Believes She Has Seen Both The Best And Worst Experience This Year

Looks like Janhvi left her moderator pretty impressed with her knowledge of Hindi cinema and her choice of brilliant performances by yesteryear actors. Jaffery recollected the interaction with Janhvi and said, "I didn't expect Jhanvi to take names including Waheeda Rehman in Khamoshi and filmmakers like Satyajit Ray and Bimal Roy." He also added, "I was quite surprised when she spoke about a dance performance choreographed by veteran dance director Pandit Birju Maharaj in a film like Shatranj Ke Khiladi, which released over three decades ago. "

At this event Janhvi spoke at length about her acting and being in the movie business. Karan Johar's protege picked Guru Dutt's Mr & Mrs 55 with Madhubala, for a remake project that she'd like to feature in.

After Dhadak, Janhvi Kapoor will be seen in Karan Johar's next directorial  Takht, which also stars Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. The actress also has Dharma Productions' Rannbhoomi with Varun Dhawan.
