Bengaluru, July 3: In a shocking case of violence being reported in Bengaluru, a man was stabbed because he avoided hugging his friend over bad breath. According to a Times of India report, the victim's younger brother who tried to intervene and help was also attacked. Police have arrested the accused Nabi, who works at an automobile accessories shop. On that day, he met his friend Shoaib on the road and, wanted to greet him by giving him a hug. However, the latter pushed him aside over bad breath. This agitated Nabi and they had an altercation, after which he took out his knife and stabbed his friend. Later, when Shoaib called his brother for help, Nabi stabbed him too and fled from the scene.

An attempt to murder under Section 307 of the IPC has been registered. Nabi is currently under judicial custody.
