The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) notified the 64th Combined Preliminary Service Examination 2018 on the official website; bpsc.bih.nic.in. According to the notification, the registration process for the prelims will begin today, August 3 and continue till August 20, 2018. All the interested candidates can start applying online. However, the BPSC recruitment exam date has not been decided by the officials yet, and it is expected to release additional details on its website soon. The candidates must note that all the details and eligibility criteria have been mentioned online and they must read it carefully before filling the applications.

A total of 1,255 positions has been opened in BPSC for civil servant aspirants in the state. The examination fee can be paid through Credit/ Debit card, net banking or SBI challan. Students must pay online before August 24. The procedures for online applications will end on August 31. According to BPSC, the candidate should be a graduate or equivalent from any recognised institution or university.

Steps to apply BPSC prelims 2018:

1. Visit the official website; bpsc.bih.nic.in.

2. You will come across a link—BPSC Civil Service Prelims Exam 2018. Click the link. Read the advertisement carefully to ensure eligibility.

3. Now, click ‘Online Application’ to fill in the form online.

4. You will be directed to a new window. You need to click ‘Apply Online’ link.

5. Already registered candidates can click ‘Sign in’ using your application.

6. A number and password will be shared to you on your registered phone number and email address. You will require this always; during your form submission, and downloading admit card as well.

7. In first screen tab, fill in the required information and then move to the next screen where you need to upload Photo and Signature.

8. The application form will be accepted only after the online examination fee.

Download the complete application and take a print out for future use.

The age list for different posts varies, and the age would be calculated as on August 1, 2018. However, there is an age relaxation for reserved category candidates. In case any candidates are confused, they can contact the Commission’s office which is open in all working days on the contact details available on the homepage of the website. The 2017 notification was for 355 openings.
