After much controversies and following the Kerala High Court’s order, the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has announced fresh exam dates of All India Entrance Examination for Admission (AIEEA) for the state’s flood-affected candidates. According to the notification, the AIEEA PG 2018 exam will be conducted again on September 16, 2018. Those who could not attend the August 18 exam due to the devasted floods, can read the official notification on its official website; icarexam.net. Also, those who have managed to attend the August’s exam will have to appear in the exam as the earlier entrance stands to cancel. The admit cards, and roll number will be generated on the websites—icar.org.in, icarexam.net and the candidates can download the same using their user ID and password from today after 5:00 pm, September 12. The exam city centres will remain the same; Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode as notified for the offline exam held on August 18. The debate to conduct the exam again has been going on for quite a few days now.
While several institutes cancelled their entrance exams, ICAR went on to continue with the entrance for AIEEA ignoring the state’s plight. The results for the same were scheduled to be declared on August 30. However, the Kerala High Court withheld the result announcement and ordered the conducting body to cancel the earlier exam and plan a fresh one for Kerala candidates. Two candidates filed the writ petition, Amal C T and Adarsh C K who could not appear in the exams at the time when the state was battling with unprecedented flood crises. With the new exam date been declared, the candidates can take a sigh of relief and begin with their preparation to ace the entrance exam.
