The students who are willing to appear in the Meghalaya Teachers Eligibility Test (MTET) 2019 must note that the Directorate of Educational Research & Training (DERT) has extended the registration date. Those who are yet to apply for the exam can now visit the official website, megeducation.gov.in to download the application forms which are available till December 10. Earlier, the last date to fill up and submit the applications was November 30, 2018. According to the official notification, DERT has also modified the eligibility criteria and the age limit to appear in the Meghalaya TET 2019. MTET 20919 will be conducted by DERT on January 31, 2019. The maximum age limit for the regular candidates is 32 years, and for private candidates, there is a relaxation of 37 years as on the first day of the first month of the year in which the advertisement was made. The application fee for General and OBC candidates is Rs. 300 per paper and for SC/ ST candidates, it is Rs. 150 per paper. The amount can be made through Treasury Challan under the Head of Account, “0202-Education, Sports and Arts and Culture-0l-General Education-600-General-(01)-Examination Fees,” within detailed estimates of revenues and receipts Vol-I during 2018-19.
Since, it is an offline procedure; the application forms have to be submitted to the office of the DERT and DIETs on or before December 10. No applications will be entertained after the last date of the registration.
