Punjab, March 22: With the exam season underway in various parts of the country, news of paper leak and means of cheating adopted at exam centers are also coming to the fore. One such case was reported from Punjab on March 20, where the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) on Tuesday decided to cancel the Mathematics question paper of class XII after there were reports of the paper being leaked. Reports of the leak had started doing the rounds just before the start of exam time and it was later found that the paper was leaked on social media.

According to reports, the Punjab State Education Board had scheduled the class XII Maths paper at 2 pm on Tuesday as per the timetable. But as the news of paper leak began doing the round, the Board cancelled the paper. A local TV channel of Punjab claimed that the PSEB ordered the school administrators and in-charge not to open the sealed question papers as soon as they received the information that the scheduled paper had been leaked.

The students who had reached the centers to give exam were told to wait till 3 pm so that new papers could be printed. But it could not be done and the board announced that the Mathematics paper would be conducted later. As per reports, the exam would now be held on March 31.
