Under the revised arrangements, Mail and Express trains departing from their originating stations after 2 pm on October 9 and scheduled to reach either station between 4 am and 2 pm on October 10 will be cancelled at source, according to the Ministry of Railways. The precautionary measure aims to minimise inconvenience to passengers who could face difficulties arranging onward transport amid anticipated traffic disruptions.

According to the information released by IANS, the following trains have been cancelled:
- Train No. 20155: Dr Ambedkar Nagar–New Delhi, scheduled to depart at 3.30 pm on October 9 and arrive at 4.25 am on October 10.
- Train No. 09309: Indore–Hazrat Nizamuddin, scheduled to depart at 5 pm on October 9 and arrive at 5 am on October 10.
- Train No. 12415: Indore–New Delhi, scheduled to depart at 5.10 pm on October 9 and arrive at 6.20 am on October 10.
- Train No. 12247: Bandra Terminus–Hazrat Nizamuddin, scheduled to depart at 5.30 pm on October 9 and arrive at 10.15 am on October 10.

In view of the anticipated severe road traffic congestion in the areas surrounding New Delhi Railway Station and Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station on 10th October 2026, it has been decided that all Mail/Express trains originating from their source stations after 14:00 hrs on 9th October 2026 and scheduled to arrive at New Delhi Railway Station or Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station between 04:00 hrs and 14:00 hrs on 10th October 2026 will be cancelled at source.
In view of the above, the following train will remain cancelled.

Mumbai Central–Hazrat Nizamuddin Train Rescheduled
Railways has also rescheduled train number 12953, the Mumbai Central–Hazrat Nizamuddin service. The train, originally scheduled to depart at 5.10 pm on October 9 and reach Hazrat Nizamuddin at 9.43 am on October 10, will be delayed by five hours. Passengers travelling to Delhi have been advised to check the latest status of their trains before leaving for their respective stations. The train cancellations come ahead of the proposed CJP protest at Jantar Mantar on October 10. The demonstration is linked to demands concerning Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and allegations relating to electoral roll revisions.
Delhi Police has denied permission for the proposed protest and warned against unauthorised gatherings. Restrictions under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) are in force in the New Delhi area, with police warning that violations could invite legal action.
