The Kerala candidates who could not appear in the Group C exams dated August 9, 17, 20 and 21 due to flood in Kerala will sit for the same today, September 4 at various centres. In addition, there are some eligible candidates whose schedule was not released in the previous month, will also participate in today’s Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) and Technician exams conducted by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB). Admit cards for these students were made available for students to download online at RRB website; indianrailways.gov.in from August 31 to September 3. The board has further emailed and SMSed the Kerala candidates regarding the exam city, date and shift. Indian Railways Release Group D Exam Pattern. 

Earlier in August, the state was hit by a massive flood following which many of the institutions had to cancel their exams. The Ministry of Indian Railways too declared to postpone the exams when more than half of the students could not even make it to the centre on August 9. PTI reported that exam centres allotted in the South Indian state for RRB ALP and Technician exams were shifted out of the sate as the rain waters wreaked havoc there. The Indian Railways also provided free travel authority to those whose exams were cancelled. Thousands of candidates are expected to participate in this exam.

As Indian Railway is set to close the Group C first stage online Computer Based Test (CBT), they will begin with the Group D exams which are expected to continue for about 45 days. As of now, RRB notified a tentative date according to which the exams will begin from September 17. The applicants are hence recommended to keep a tab on the official website as the exam city, date and shift details will be made live ten days prior to the commencement of Group D CBT.
