It has been more than two weeks now, since the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) shared any update regarding the Non-Technical Popular Category (NTPC) job posts. The notification announcing the vacancies were released in February, 2019. And the first stage of Computer Based Test (CBT) was scheduled to be held between June to September. But nothing happened as per the plan. The uncertainty over RRB NTPC 2019 exam date and admit card update continues to stay awaited at rrbcdg.gov.in. Lakhs of candidates who applied for RRB NTPC recruitment 2019 exam are advised to keep their calm and keep a constant eye on the official and regional sites.

After a lot of speculations, the Ministry of Railways last responded on October 14, 2019, with a notification. The update reads, “It was indicated in the employment notice that the 1st stage computer based test (CBT) is tentatively scheduled between June and September 2019. However, it has been postponed. The revised schedule will be published in the official websites of all RRBs later on. Candidates are advised to visit the official websites of RRBs regularly.” The national carrier has neither provided any reason for the delay nor has given any tentative timeline before the exam dates will be announced. RRB will hire eligible candidates to fill in 35,000 NTPC vacant posts. The job positions are for both graduates and undergraduates. The delay in the first stage of recruitment exam will reflect on the consecutive RRB NTPC selection stages. RRB NTPC first stage CBT will include 100 mark-questions from General Awareness, Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning.
