The RTE Maharashtra Lottery Result 2026 has been officially released on the portal student.maharashtra.gov.in following the completion of the admission draw on April 6 at 11:00 AM in Pune. The computerised lottery, conducted at Vidya Nirbhaya, allocated seats to 2,89,609 applicants under the 25 per cent reservation quota in private schools across Maharashtra.
Parents and guardians who applied under the RTE quota can now check the selected candidate list by logging into the official admission portal. The lottery process concluded around noon and was carried out through a centralised digital system to ensure transparency and fairness. Selected candidates will receive SMS alerts on their registered mobile numbers. Parents must download the allotment details and proceed with the next stage of admission, which includes document verification and confirmation within the specified deadline.
This year, the school selection criteria were expanded. The earlier one kilometre restriction has been removed, allowing applicants to choose schools within 1 km, 1 to 3 km, and beyond 3 km. Officials have warned that strict verification will be carried out. Any discrepancies, incomplete documents, or incorrect details may lead to cancellation of admission, even if a student has been selected in the lottery.
Duplicate applications for the same child have been disqualified. Additionally, for children applying under the disability category, a minimum of 40 per cent disability certification is mandatory.
Parents are advised to regularly visit the official website, complete all required formalities on time, and ensure all documents are accurate to secure admission under the RTE Maharashtra scheme.
